Peter L Depowski, M.D.

My Story
 

Dr. Depowski is a highly experienced Pathologist having overseen laboratory services at multiple tertiary and quaternary care hospitals over the last 2 decades.  He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and also has subspecialty board certification in Cytopathology.  Underscoring his commitment to the best patient care and collaboration with the clinical teams, he has served in leadership positions including president of the medical staff and chair of the medical staff executive committee during his tenure.  He has also held board positions at multiple health care facilities working closely with community members to enhance patient care.  He earned his medical degree from Albany Medical Center and graduated with honors and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society based on academic excellence, leadership and professionalism.  He went on to complete his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Albany Medical Center and also served as Chief Resident during that time.  Additionally, he completed both a Hematopathology fellowship at Albany Medical Center and Cytopathology fellowship at the University of Rochester.

During his free time, Dr. Depowski enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, going on long walks with his wife, playing tennis with his youngest daughter, “hanging out” with his oldest daughter and enjoying the occasional pickle ball match with friends and family.​
